Runner-up in 2019, Thierry Douillard will be aiming to take team and event sponsor EFG back to winning ways, the private banking group having been on a SATT winning streak dating back to 2014 until last year. He will be joined by the newest addition to the Oman Sail team, the renowned French yachtsman and Volvo Ocean Race winner Franck Cammas, alongside Omani dinghy ace Hussein Al Jabri, who got his first taste of Diam 24 racing last year with Stevie Morrison and the Averda team. Douillard skippered an Oman Sail team to fourth place in last year’s Tour Voile.

An entry in every single SATT event from 2011, this year’s Renaissance team is an all-Omani affair featuring long-standing Oman Sail stalwarts Akram Al Wahaibi, Yasser Al Rahbi and Haitham Al Whaibi. Al Wahaibi was a member of last year’s Class 40 squad, while Al Rahbi and Al Whaibi were part of the Diam development team, taking an impressive 12th place in last year’s Tour Voile. Oman based Renaissance Services SAOG is an international facilities management and services company with a significant marine industries presence.

The German transportation and logistics firm returns to SATT for the third time, again supporting an all-women team. French racers Audrey Ogereau and Maelenn Lemaitre join Oman Sail stars Ibtisam Al Salmi, Tamathir Al Balushi and Marwa Al Khaifi, the latter on her second consecutive SATT campaign. Al Salmi, Al Balushi and Al Khaifi, all leading members of Oman Sail’s Women’s Sailing Programme, raced together last year in the highly-competitive J80 class, culminating in the World Championship in France.
